February goes out with a storm
Monday, February 28th, 2011The Manic Weather
Sunday, February 27th, 2011Winter, and I’ve just returned from plowing so that when the snow falls in the next 24 hrs, it won’t be too deep to move. Some days, it feels like this as if it were a sunny day.
Other days, Idaho makes a real effort show off her beauty.
I’m sitting here watching more snow fall. I’m getting a little anxious for spring.
Comments invite spam
Tuesday, February 8th, 2011Gee, I should have stuck to my instincts. My “friends” complained about comments not being turned on on my blog. I upgraded the software and then turned on the ability for people to post comments. The result, very little from my friends but a lot of “stuff” from spammers.
Note to self: instincts based on experience trump friends who want convenience.
Better Living Through Pizza
Monday, February 7th, 2011Until just last month, getting a “warm” pizza from a restaurant wasn’t possible because the closest place buy a pizza was 15 miles away. However, a new pizza joint opened up just 7 miles from home. The image below is the very first carry out pizza we’ve had since moving to Cocolalla in 2007. Brody’s Supreme pizza, is just that. (Maybe if we patronize them enough, we can talk them into making real pizza — Chicago Deep Dish!) Some day we may even get home delivery but not any time soon.
Observations of Small Town Living (OOSTL)
Saturday, February 5th, 2011The Hoot Owl Restaurant – A true piece of history here in the area. It’s one of those places the locals don’t mention to visitors. The type of place where the owner knows your name, you can say hi to anyone you see, the keys are left in the register, the tip cans sit on top of the counter and the charge machine cannot run your card until one of the employee gets off the phone.
