25 Year Anniversary

I’m so thankful for the way God has worked in allowing me this career. I love my job even though I work about 363 days a year. Over the years it’s grown by acquiring over 17 companies. My clients are all over the world and consist of ministries, businesses, personal sites, semi-famous entertainers, NGOs and government agencies. I’ve even helped the Secret Service (who suspected me at first) catch a group of thieves who stole millions of dollars worth of credit card data. It’s been a wild and wonderful ride and has enabled my wife and I to live anywhere we want; And we love living where we’d vacation – North Idaho.

This isn’t my first company. It’s the offspring of my design company, GraphiComm Inc., which was started after being laid off from Sears Roebuck in 1992. GraphiComm floundered financially until 2000 when my hosting company, then ez2ba.com, was born. I designed my first website in 1995/1996 which was a good fit for my business and talents. I loved the fact that I could correct errors almost instantly. The biggest challenge in the business was getting support from the companies that hosted my clients’ websites. In early 2000 a man named Mike called from a sister company of the place I was registering domains. He recognized that I had been registering several domains and asked if I’d like to get into the hosting side of things. I agreed to a dog-and-pony show of their interface for hosting websites. They assured me I’d get great support. About 20% of the way through the show, I stopped him and asked where I could sign up. With the help of two friends who have since been bought out, we started the company with a budget of 1000 per month for pay-per-click advertising. After a few years competition was so fierce that we could hardly get an a good return on the investment. It was then that I started buying companies. They had what we were going to pay advertisers for anyway, so buying customers with the wait seemed like the way to do. The rest is history.
